Vinyl Floors That Look Clean Again — Without Replacing Them

Vinyl and LVT floors are designed to be hard-wearing, but over time the surface can look dull or patchy, and dirt often collects in joins, edges and textured finishes where everyday mopping can’t reach effectively.

Our specialist cleaning method lifts embedded grime safely and prepares the floor for an optional re-finish that helps protect the surface and makes ongoing maintenance easier.

What This Service Covers

  • Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and vinyl plank
  • Sheet vinyl
  • Textured or patterned vinyl surfaces
  • Kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, offices and commercial spaces

Our Vinyl Cleaning & Re-Finishing Process

  1. Inspection – we assess the floor type, wear level and any previous coatings.
  2. Deep clean – safely lifts grime from the surface and targets joins/grooves.
  3. Rinse & neutralise – removes residues for a clean finish.
  4. Optional re-finish – where suitable, we apply a protective coating for a durable, clean sheen.
  5. Final check – we confirm finish, edges and consistency before we leave.

Optional Re-Finishing (When It Makes Sense)

If your vinyl floor is dull, scuffed, or difficult to keep looking clean, a re-finish can provide a protective layer that improves appearance and helps slow down re-soiling. We’ll recommend it only if it’s suitable for your floor type and condition.

We’re based in Belmont, County Durham and cover the North East including Durham, Chester-le-Street, Gateshead, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Washington, Seaham, Peterlee, Hartlepool and Darlington.

Vinyl Floor Cleaning – FAQs

How should I prepare for vinyl floor cleaning?

Please clear loose items from the floor and make sure we can access the areas to be cleaned. We can move lightweight furniture where safe, and we’ll discuss heavier items in advance.

How long does vinyl floor cleaning and re-finishing take?

It depends on the size of the area, the level of build-up, and whether re-finishing is included. Many residential areas can be completed within a day. We’ll give you a realistic estimate after assessment.

Is this suitable for rented properties?

Yes. Vinyl deep cleaning is ideal for rented properties and quick turnarounds because it improves appearance fast. Optional re-finishing can also help floors stay looking cleaner for longer.

Will this remove scratches?

Cleaning removes dirt and dull build-up. A re-finish can improve overall appearance and reduce the look of minor wear, but it won’t “repair” deep damage. We’ll be clear about what’s achievable before starting.

Is re-finishing always needed?

No. Some floors only need a deep clean. We’ll recommend re-finishing only when it’s suitable and likely to deliver a meaningful improvement.
