Is dustless wood floor sanding really dust free?

Modern dustless sanding is not 100% dust-free, but our professional extraction systems capture over 98% of airborne dust. In practical terms, this means no visible dust clouds, no coating of furniture and no need to vacate your property during the work.

What’s the difference between sanding and a screen & recoat?

Sanding removes the existing finish completely and levels the wood surface, making it suitable for heavily worn or damaged floors. A screen and recoat lightly abrades the existing finish, deep cleans the floor and applies a new protective coating. It’s faster, less invasive and ideal for floors that are worn but structurally sound.

How do I know which service my floor needs?

If the floor is dull, lightly scratched or has traffic wear but no deep damage, a sand-less clean and recoat is usually sufficient. If there are deep scratches, cupping, heavy staining or failed coatings, full sanding is typically required. We assess this honestly before recommending any work.

How long does wood floor restoration take?

Most sand-less maintenance restorations and screen & recoat projects are completed within one day. Full dustless sanding and refinishing typically takes one to two days depending on floor size, condition and chosen finish.

How long before I can walk on the floor?
